The month of November concluded the year which has been referred to ‘A Year back to basics’ for the Zululand Sports Confederation as we all know that sport activities were hugely affected by the outbreak of Covid19 and lockdown regulations.
ZDSC AGM
Indication of functionality for an organisation such as the confederation; is the compliance with the constitution. One the highlights of our compliance is the successful AGM held on the 12th November 2022 where the executive committee was reporting back to ZDSC General Council all the activities undertaken by the confederation as from August 2021 to November 2022. The AGM was graced by the presence of Mr TV Mkhize from KZNSC, Ms S Hlabisa from DSAC, Ms M Mnyandu ZDM Official and Mr N Masuku from Zululand Schools Multi-Coded Structure. It is in this AGM where Zululand Sports Confederation website was launched and constitution amendments were adopted. Anyone can now follow all sport activities in our district via zululand.kznsc.com website.
Ulundi Striders
Ulundi Striders Athletics Club is one of ‘A Good Story’ to tell within Zululand District. They are an outcome of Club Development program rolled by KZNSC few years ago. Their success is shown by the increasing number of their membership, training camps organised and current 10km Race 2nd Edition they hosted on the 13 November 2022. One would also wish to congratulate their newly elected executive committee which we believe it will take the club to another level.
Zululand District SALGA Games Team
In conclusion; on behalf of Zululand District Sports Confederation; we wish to congratulate all athletes who were selected to represent Zululand District in different codes. We wish them good luck; through their effort, dedication and effort we believe we can obtain positive results.
